Ours is a very comfortable, spacious and light-filled home, with polished wooden floors and freshly painted interiors. There is a massive backyard, which backs right onto the Malvern Valley golf course, so lots of natural views, trees and leafiness. There is a barbecue in the backyard which can be a nice place to gather around a fire. It's properly peaceful. The house was built in about 1950's, so you can expect retro style windows, bathroom fittings and brick work. Internally there is a kind of 'island' which connects the living room, dining room, kitchen and foyer.
The inside of the house is pretty tidy and fairly simple. There are two fridges, a washing machine and one bathroom, with bath and separate shower, and one separate toilet and laundry. Electric cooking and hot water, gas heating. We also have all the kitchen essentials like kettle, toaster, rice cooker, pots and pans etc. Also, there is a garage at the back for some storage. We have a tele, VCR, and DVD player, and broadband internet.
The house is about 10 mins walk from Holmesglen Train Station (which is still zone 1) - very convenient for public transport along Glen Waverley to City line, also 10 minutes to Warrigal road bus (to Mentone or Altona via Box Hill and Doncaster) and Holmesglen TAFE, convenience stores and shopping centre. This is area is nice and peaceful with quiet neighbours on either side.

Other information: This bedroom is medium to large in size. It has a double bed in it. There is a spacious built-in wardrobe with cupboard space above, and shelves and a footlocker in the room also. The room receives good sunlight particularly in the morning. The room is currently furnished, and there's stuff in there (like in the pictures), but of course the stuff will be all gone and clean so you can put your stuff in there.

Hi, my name is Matthew. I've been living in this house with lovely housemates Dave and Cat for for over a year now, and more recently Lesley. They are all great people - very relaxed and friendly. (By the way there are no couples.) I'm going overseas for at least six months (from 15 October 2013), and am looking for someone to take over my room during the time away. There's definitely a possibility I may extend my trip or even not return at all. This home would suit someone who's artistically or creatively minded, friendly, and glad to contribute to a happy household.
We're looking for someone also wanting a peaceful and enjoyable house environment. We like a place with shared spaces that are clean and relatively tidy, so we're looking for someone else who also likes this.
